Subject: Duration of Refresher Training Course for Drivers in ZTCs.

During the meeting of the Principals of ZTCs held at ZTC/ TPJ on 30th & 31st January, 2003, it was observed that very few ZTCs are allocating one day of viva-voce in the Refresher Course for Diesel Drivers (LOCO-RNG-9) and Refresher Course for Electrical Drivers (LOCO-RNG-7) out of two days allocated.
It has been decided that out of 2 days viva-voce allocated for Refresher Course in Loco-RNG-7 and in Loco-RNG-9 for Electrical and Diesel Drivers respectively, one day is allocated in ZTCs so that the Drivers can be assessed whether they have been exposed properly to safety rules and one day at ETC/DTC as the case may be, to assess their technical skills.
The implementation of the above instructions may be confirmed.
